led by Florian Hofhansl, we aimed to identify possible over vegetation C stocks in one of THE hotspots of biodiversity, in a tropical rainforest in the south of Costa Rica, around the Osa Peninsula. We found that the high diversity is likely related to the high diversity in microclimatic, geological, and soil nutrient availability niches that can be found across the Osa Peninsula.
